Dear WorshipCityPraise Worshiper! I wanted to write you this message to let you what God is leading us to do concerning the monthly WorshipCityPraise gatherings in Nashville. As you may know, we have been meeting monthly since March of 1999 - for over 2.5 years (or 31 months). During that time we have only missed 3 months--2 for our normal December break and 1 in August of 1999 when we were in Europe all month. This has been a very exciting, challenging, life-changing, powerful, transforming, and did I say "challenging", journey. I believe God has touched many, many lives (including ours) as is apparent through the incredible emails, the thousands of people who attend each month, and even through our Government recognizing the second Saturday of June each year as "Worship City USA Day" in Nashville. God is certainly faithful - as ALWAYS!!!! The decision we believe God is leading us to make at this time is to POSTPONE any further WorshipCityPraise gatherings until 2002. There are a number of reasons, but the most important one is that we trust God is directing us in this way, for this time! I do not believe WorshipCityPraise has come to an "end" in Nashville. I just believe God is allowing for a "break" and for Him to do more in our city before we continue to move forward. Several cities throughout the United Sates have contacted us about starting a similar gathering in their city, so I believe God has much more in store! We are also talking with a city group in Nashville called Operation Andrew about partnering together to continue the vision of WCP on a larger scale. Be praying with us about this! For those of you who will be VERY disappointed about not being able to worship with us this fall, we have GOOD NEWS for you! Each of the coming fall months includes an opportunity to worship with us right here in Nashville and Tennessee. The times and dates are the following: October 20 – Nashville, TN [Centrifuge Freedom Tour - Belmont Heights Baptist Church] *615.215.3887 Also, we are in the studio currently with the NEW BAND. I have signed again with Gotee Records (our original record company). I am recording what I consider to be a follow-up CD to the first SONICFLOOd CD - both stylistically and in worship focus. We are doing some popular covers like we did on the first SONICFLOOd CD, though we are doing more original worship songs. I think you will be pleased when you hear this project. It will sound a lot like the original SONICFLOOd CD but with even better songs and slightly more modern sounds!!!! It will be in all the stores on March 26. Thanks again for being a part of seeing Nashville transformed for the Kingdom of God! I believe God has us totally in the center of His will, even when things don't quite go the way we think they should. No matter what, I won't stop recording GREAT worship songs or stop leading intense concerts of WORSHIP & PRAYER - at least until God tells me to! Blessings on you! Whatever He wants . . . Jeff Deyo |
