PURPOSE STATEMENT
WorshipCityPraise exists to gather believers in greater Nashville before our God for corporate worship, intercession, and fasting, so that the body of Christ would be encouraged, strengthened and unified and then sent back to our neighborhoods, workplaces and schools with a passion to imitate Christ in such a way that every person is won to Jesus Christ.

VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to see the people of Nashville, TN and the surrounding areas literally transformed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the point where Jesus truly becomes the Lord and King of our city – where people walking down the street NOT talking about how God has changed them are in the minority, where porn shops and adult book stores no longer have enough business to stay open, where churches are overflowing to the point where we can’t build facilities fast enough to contain everyone, where televisions and video games fill up pawn shops, where the divorce rate is down 2000%, and where our city’s political leaders make all their decisions based on God’s Word.

We are not satisfied with a small sign in front of church that reads “Revival this week.” We want the Spirit of God to literally come down in power and authority as thousands and thousands of Christians submit their lives wholly and completely to Jesus. As this happens, we pray that the rivers of Living Water contained within us would burst out of our souls creating a tidal wave that flows through the streets of our cities, towns and neighborhoods stripping away ungodliness of all kinds.

MISSION STATEMENT
We plan to lead by example as we worship God with our songs, our prayers and our LIVES! We really believe that God will hear from heaven, forgive us (His people) of our sins, and heal (transform) our city, as we come together to humble ourselves, pray, seek God’s face and turn from our selfish ways (1 Chronicles 7:14).

We also want to be a part of answering Jesus’ prayer to the Father in John 17 for us to be one. As this begins to happen, Jesus said that many people would believe that He was sent to the earth – MANY PEOPLE. This is what we want!

Our worship gatherings are for God’s people of all ages, cultures, denominations, and backgrounds to come together with the purpose of worshiping our God and praying for the spiritual healing and transformation of our cities and nations.

The gathering itself is NOT unity and is NOT our end goal. To have hundreds of thousands of worshipers gathered in Adelphia Coliseum will be awesome, but this is NOT our goal. A transformed or “awakened” city is the true goal. Call it evangelism, call it fulfilling the great commission, call it whatever you want – we just want MANY PEOPLE to truly and deeply come to KNOW Jesus. But this MUST happen in us first.

The Bible makes it clear that a person who knows about Jesus but does not really KNOW Jesus cannot or will not tell people about Jesus. It is only when we are filled to OVERFLOWING with the love of Jesus, having been in His presence, having walked and talked with Him, having eaten and drunk with Him, and are recognized as having been with Him (like Peter and John in Acts 4:13), that we will begin to live for Him and see real change at our schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and in our hearts.
