The incredible photos from June nine’s WorshipCity USA Day prayer and worship gathering are finally here!! With 7,500 people attending the evening part of the event and over 10,000 joining us throughout the day, we truly were amazed and incredibly grateful for all that God did. We sought God with 7 different worship leaders incorporating several different styles and even different languages while listening to 9 different speakers from all over the country.  With a total of 9 hours of intense worship and prayer, we had an incredible time with people from all over Nashville and all over the world!

The photos we have included are just a few of hundreds of incredible moments that occurred throughout the day. We took 30 rolls of professionally photographed pictures, and though they are AWESOME, they still don’t capture the passion and intensity of the day.  You may need to ask someone who attended to get the full picture!

The best part about WorshipCity USA Day is that it is NOT over!  We have continued to meet monthly in Nashville with thousands of people who want this gathering of prayer and worship to be more than just an event – they want it to be their lifestyle! WorshipCityPraise (formerly SONICPRAISe) has been going strong since March of 1999 – over 2½ years!  We have plans to continue meeting throughout the fall and as long as God allows.  We will also begin to include different worship leaders and speakers at the monthly gatherings so that we can continue to expand the style and feel of WCP. Thanks to everyone who helped make this gathering possible and also to all those who joined with us in the crowd to worship and pray for Nashville!  The emails we’ve received have let us know about the many who where touched and challenged on June 9 to live out their Christian walk more boldly than ever before!  Praise the Lord.  As God begins to answer our prayers to transform Music City into Worship City, we will begin to witness better families, better moms and dads, better teachers, better pastors, better employees and better Christians – which will in turn lead to more Christ-like living as well as more personal evangelism and inevitably more born again believers! As this happens, we will continue to seek God to make us more like Him in every way – a people after His own heart!

Nashville Government declares June 9th WorshipCity USA Day!

On May 1, 2001, the counsel of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County declared the second Saturday of each June (beginning June 9, 2001) will be known as “WorshipCity USA Day” in recognition of WorshipCityPraise, and the efforts to bring the ministries of Nashville together.
